On your phone or tablet, launch your favorite browser. Use any of the widely used browsers, including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Internet Explorer.
To send a message, visit https://api.whatsapp.com/send?phone=XXXXXXXXXX. Enter the desired contact’s phone number in place of the Xs.
For instance, if the phone number you’re trying to reach is 555-1234 (US prefix 1), you’d write “https://api.whatsapp.com/send?phone=15551234.”
A WhatsApp window will appear after you press “Enter” or “Go” on your keyboard.
Click Message. The WhatsApp app will launch in a chat with that number when you confirm your desire to send a message to that particular number.
Type your message here. You can type your message in the text form that is displayed.
Your keyboard will glide up from the bottom when you tap the text field to open it.
You can choose not to hit the text box and instead tap the microphone button to record a message if you like. But the microphone indicator will vanish after you press the text field and start typing.
Using the icons in the text area, you may easily attach a file, take a photo or video with your camera, or add emojis.
To send an image, select the paper aircraft icon (Android7send.png). This paper airplane icon may be found to the right of the text box.
