WhatsApp is a globally loved messaging app with lots of great features. In addition to functions such as sending photos, posting status or making video calls, WhatsApp also allows users to send free messages using WhatsApp instead of using regular messages. The following article will share with you how to use WhatsApp to send free messages!
Part 1 of 1: Making an Account
1
Create a user account. Launch WhatsAp. Enter your phone number on the “Your Phone Number” box, and then click “Done.”
If you are not currently in the United States, touch it and then choose your home account.

WhatsApp will send you a message with a verification code. This code must be entered before continuing. You can also ask for an automated phone call if your phone does not support SMS.
2
Write down your name, please. Enter the name you want to use with WhatsApp in the Name field on the Profile screen, and then tap Done.
Use your real name or a fictitious name.

On this screen, you can add a profile picture.
3
Locate your contacts on WhatsApp. You will be prompted by WhatsApp to grant it access to your contacts. If you agree, WhatsApp will search for users using the phone numbers of your contacts and add them to your favorites list. On the Contacts screen, a list of all of your contacts will appear.

You can always manually add friends to WhatsApp using their phone numbers if you decide to deny this access.
Part 2 of 2: send free messages using WhatsApp
1
Press Favorites.

From the Chats screen, you may also send a message.
2
Select a friend by touching their name.
Before you may send a message, invite a buddy to install WhatsApp on their phone if you don’t already have any friends who use it.
3
Send your message after you type it. The message will be seen above the chat text box.
