If you are using WhatsApp on Android you will realize that you cannot save videos on WhatsApp manually. The reason is because WhatsApp has an auto-save video feature, videos sent on WhatsApp will automatically be saved to your device. If you don’t see the video appearing in your phone’s gallery, it may be because you have turned off autosave on WhatsApp. The following article will show you simple steps to save videos on WhatsApp to Android.
Step 1: save videos on WhatsApp to Android phone
Check to see whether your phone or tablet already has the video. WhatsApp is configured to automatically save the images and videos you receive to the built-in photo gallery app on your Android device. On your Android device, open the program you use to view photographs and videos, then choose the WhatsApp folder. You should be able to find your videos here unless you’ve changed your settings.

If your videos aren’t in your gallery app, keep using this method.
2
Launch WhatsApp In your app drawer, it’s the green symbol with a white chat bubble and phone receiver.

3

Click the menu. It’s the three dots in WhatsApp’s upper-right corner.
4

From the menu, select Settings.
5
Utilization of data and storage.
6
Decide on your choices for media auto-download. To control the timing of the photo and video downloads to your Android, select one of the three choices under the “Media auto-download” category.

When connected to Wi-Fi, choose All media and choose When connected if you’re concerned about using too much mobile data. Then, for the final two options, select No media or Photos.
7
To get back to the previous menu, press the back button.
8

Click on Chats.

Ensure that “Show media in gallery” is checked. It’s listed beneath the heading “Media exposure.” The videos will be accessible in your gallery as a result. This guarantees that all upcoming videos will show up in your photo gallery application.
10
Stop videos from a certain discussion from appearing in the gallery (optional). Follow these instructions to turn off the feature for that conversation if one of your chats results in an excessive number of images and videos showing up in your gallery: Start a conversation.
Select View Contact from the three-dot menu by tapping it.
Click on Media visibility. If you agree, media from this discussion will be asked to appear in the gallery.

To confirm, tap No and then OK.
