Format the conversation text you use. Different text tags can be used to format message text, such as by bolding it:

To make text bold, add an asterisk to either side of it (for example, *hello* becomes hello).

Italics: An underscore should be placed on either side of the text you wish to make bold (goodbye becomes goodbye, for example).

Put a tilde () on either side of the text you want to strike through (for example, “Pineapple belongs on pizza”).

Code: Change the text “I am a robot” to “I am a robot” by adding three right-facing accent marks on either side of it.

Part 4 of 8: Calling Someone on the Phone or Video

Part 5 of 8: Contact Addition

Part 7 of 8: Adding a Status to WhatsApp

Add some text to the image. Select a color from the vertical color bar on the right side of the screen, then type any text you want to add by tapping the T symbol in the top-right corner of the screen.
